PALADINI, FILIPPO

Filippo Paladini (Val di Sieve, 1544 - Mazarino, 1614) was a painter, originally from Tuscany that similarly to Caravaggio took refuge in Malta and Sicily for problems with justice.
He is one of the last exponents of the Tuscanian manneristic style. He died in Mazzarino (Caltanissetta) in 1614. His works are found in churches in many cities in Sicily: Palermo, Modica, Caltanissetta, Catania, Licata, Acireale, Vizzini, Mineo, Caltagirone and Mazzarino.
